First Nationwide Financial institution of Omaha launches CaaS

First Nationwide Financial institution of Omaha (FNBO) has launched Bend by FNBO, a brand new credit score card-as-a-service (CaaS) resolution that enables corporations to supply custom-made bank cards.

Bend by FNBO runs on open APIs whereas providing clients the pliability of an embeddable card, Marc Butterfield, senior vice chairman at $26 billion FNBO, advised Financial institution Automation Information.

“The world is altering, and issues have gotten extra automated and modularized and decentralized,” Butterfield stated. “That’s how individuals are going to be banking, and so they’re going to go along with a model they love and an expertise they like, and so they’re going to only need extra merchandise in that very same expertise.”

The service is an extension of Omaha, Neb.-based FNBO’s partnership with card issuer and cost resolution platform, Marqeta, which affords easy integration via open APIs, Butterfield advised BAN.

The CaaS will permit corporations to difficulty branded bank cards shortly with entry to a self-service dashboard to configure and handle playing cards in actual time, he added.

Whereas FNBO has not introduced companions for the service, it’s open to working with outdoors manufacturers to difficulty bank cards, Butterfield stated.
