Quick Information

Name of Startup: LIFE TCG
Year Founded: 2022
Website: Lifetcg.com
Type of company: Trading Card Game
HQ Location: Remote

Startup Founders:

Harry Ewing – FounderEmile Dala Senta – Lead Designer

Startup one-liner:

The collectible trading card game that mirrors real-world populations of endangered mammals.

Problem the startup solves:

A product that is both fun and educational, currently the TCG market is worth $20 Billion and is forecasted to rise to $130 in the next 8 years!

We will sit in a niche market between fantasy and sports cards, without any direct competition!Progress and current status:All designs are ready to be printed, prototypes have been produced, and manufacturers are in place.

The kickstarter will be launched on the 1st of November and will be live for a month.

What is a crazy story about the startup?:

The product centers around our limited edition physical trading cards. Players compete to beat each other based on animal stats – of course they can trade, and build their collections with the aim of completing the set.

The idea that is central to all of this is that our 1st Edition cards are printed in exactly the same volume as the estimated population of the animal in the wild!

There are an estimated 1000 Mountain Gorillas left in the wild, therefore we will only ever print 1000 Holographic (shiny) Mountain Gorillas etc.

Our trading card game is the only product of its type that has a legitimate reason for its print runs.

Also a 1 of 1 Earth card will be printed, who will be the one to find it!

What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:

Pokemon. They have build a franchise around a Trading Card Game and are currently the most successful entertainment franchise of all time!

The company in four years will be…

We will have produced 5 core sets. Mammals, Birds, Fish, Reptiles/Amphibians, and Invertebrates. We will have expanded into merchandise of all types and will be developing a mobile app to begin our expansion as a franchise.
