Stock Market Today 22nd Sep 2022: Indian stock markets ended Thursday on a negative note. Taking cues from their US peers Dow 30, Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500, domestic indices BSE Sensex and Nifty50 closed lower at 59,119.72 and 17,629.80 respectively and were down by 337 points (0.57 per cent) and 88.55 points (-0.5 per cent) on the day of weekly expiry.
In the 30-share Sensex, 12 ended in the green while the remaining 18 were trading in the red at the closing time. Here are the top gainers and losers.
Sensex top gainers:
1) Titan shares ended at Rs 2739.80, up 2.80 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
2) Hindustan Unilever Shares ended at Rs 2693.05, up 2.64 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
3) Asian Paints Shares ended at Rs 3439, up 2.51 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
4) Maruti Suzuki Shares ended at Rs 9403.85, up 1.68 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
5) ITC Shares ended at Rs 345.10, up 1.19 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
Sensex top Losers:
1) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 220.15, down 2.76 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
2) HDFC Bank Company Shares ended at Rs 6503.95, down 4.17 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
3) Axis Bank shares ended at Rs 789.10, down 2.09 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
4) HDFC Shares ended at Rs 2418.55, down 1.69 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
5) Bajaj Finserv Shares ended at Rs 1771.85, down 1.67 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
